Socially Responsible Investing for Philanthropy and ScholarshipTKE USC Investment Club

TKE Beta-Sigma has expanded its partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through the formation of Beta-Sigma Capital Holdings, an investment group that will teach members valuable trading knowledge and techniques, with the goal of maximizing returns, which will be donated to St. Jude.  In addition, BSCH has been entrusted with an endowment that will be invested with intention of producing returns that will be distributed as a scholarship.

What sets Beta-Sigma Capital Holdings apart is our commitment to socially responsible investing, scholarship, and philanthropy. Each year, Beta Sigma Capital Holdings will liquidate a percentage of our portfolios and donate money to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and distribute money in the form of a scholarship.   We aim to maximize returns while also learning valuable lessons through real-world trading and through Investment Club Speakerlistening to distinguished speakers we will host.

The club currently manages two investment portfolios totaling more than $135,000.  Seed capital was donated from alumni and chapter member’s dues and is held in distinct investment accounts with oversight provided by the Beta-Sigma Chapter Board of Advisors.   The members of the Beta-Sigma Capital Holdings Investment Club are responsible for investment strategy and all trades.
